Remembrance Day

Each year there is an open invitation for anyone to join the Town Council and members of The Royal British Legion to keep The Silence at 11.00am on Tuesday 11th November. This civic ceremony takes place at the War Memorial on Legion Green.

Maroons are fired to mark the beginning and end of the Two Minute Silence, followed by the laying of wreaths and a Minister delivering a short prayer. This is then followed be refreshments served in the Royal British Legion Hall.

Please join us if you can on this day and reflect on the many lives of service men and women who have been lost in conflicts throughout the world.
