KESGRAVE PUMP TRACK – Proposed for Millennium Sports Ground

As part of Kesgrave Town Councils ambition to provide recreational facilities for the Town and following consultation over the summer including at the Fun Day, we are now seeking planning permission from East Suffolk Council for the provision of a Pump Track.
This is a circuit of rollers, banked turns and features designed to be ridden by “pumping” – generating momentum by up and down body movements, instead of pedalling or pushing. They can be used by bikes such as BMX, skateboards, kid’s scooters, adaptive bikes or wheelchairs and are a facility with everyone in mind; from young beginners to experienced riders and, importantly, they encourage outdoor-based exercise.
The land available to us for the installation of the track is on the west side of the car park on the Millennium Sports Ground, tucked into the side near the trees, this will minimise any disturbance to nearby residents and CCTV will also be installed as part of the project. Care will be taken to ensure appropriate landscaping blends in with the surroundings.
Should you wish to make any comments on the application, these can be submitted to East Suffolk Council, via Public Access, email: planning@eastsuffolk.gov.uk or in writing quoting DC/23/4735/FUL, by 24 January 2024.
