Stephen Road (Oct 07)

Stephen Road: – This road owes it name to Stephen Knights of 81 Dobbs Lane (see Knights Lane). He was well known for the solid way he built the bungalows throughout Kesgrave and district. Many locals will still complain as to the difficulty to fix pictures, hooks and obtain a fixing into the walls which were always built of the famous “Peterborough” bricks. I can vouch for this as I live in a “Knights” built bungalow.

The Annual Town Meeting – a meeting for all local residents, so that you can have your say and have the opportunity to take more ownership of your town.

The Annual Town Meeting – a meeting for all local residents, so that you can have your say and have the opportunity to take more ownership of your town. This is not a normal full Town Council Meeting, but a Meeting aimed more specifically for all local residents to have a say about their town.
It is a great opportunity to hear verbal reports and to receive written reports from our valuable local organisations. Also to hear from you and to receive your valuable feedback. Tell the Council what you like about the town, what you would like to see in Kesgrave and raise any matters about which you are concerned.
It is also an opportunity for anyone who has not as yet seen inside the Millennium Jubilee Hall building and to view this excellent community facility – maybe with a view to hiring the hall. The hall is affordable and offers two large rooms within the building, new kitchen facilities, toilets, including disabled and child changing facilities and ample car-parking provision. It is perfect for local groups to hold meetings, for birthday parties or similar for adults and children events.
