Durrant View

Durrant View: PC Durrent 383 – PC Durrant arrived in Kesgrave 1979 also moving into Main Road. He also spent a lot of his time patrolling on his bicycle. During his time with us the patrol car was introduced and this meant that duties would no longer just cover Kesgrave alone. His time had to be spread with Bealings, Martlesham, Playford, Foxhall and, at times, Woodbridge.

This resulted in cover for Kesgrave being shared by the Woodbridge division and one did not have sole claim over our local policeman. PC Durrant moved onto Felixstowe in 1983 and is still in the force.
