Curtis Way
Curtis Way – Kevin Curtis lives in Kesgrave in his own bungalow and drives his own modified V.W camper plus a glorious 3 wheeled type motor cycle. He has spent many years as a yatchman and in 1966 was a member of the Paralympic team and gained a team Gold at the Yachting in Atlanta US.
Other achievements are:
1992 – Joint BT yachtsman of the year, Ipswich Sports personality. World disabled sailing champion.
1995 – European Team chapions at Murcia Spain. Silk Cut helmsman of the year.
1981, 1986 – Challenger National Sailing Champion.
1991, 1993 – Single handed Trimaran
Kevin sails locally at Alton Water Sports Centre also at Haven Ports Yacht Club at Levington. He is President of the Ipswich disabled Advice Bureau and a member player of the Suffolk Wheelchair Tennis Group which plays at Kesgrave Tennis Club.
