Council Tax

Who to contact

Suffolk Coastal is responsible for collecting Council Tax for the district, although the total amount collected is divided between Suffolk Coastal, Suffolk County Council, Suffolk Police and your town or parish council. The money is used to provide local services such as education, social services, libraries, police, leisure centres, refuse collection and recycling – to name just a few.

Full details can be found on the Suffolk Coastal website. It includes – who has to pay Council Tax; how to pay your Council Tax bill; information about disabled persons reductions and other discounts and exemptions; online forms to make an application or to tell them if you are moving house or about any changes in your circumstances; online account details and your tax bill.
