Christmas Tree Lights Ceremony

An event for all the family

In 2007 the Town Council had a Christmas tree erected on Rupert Fison Square and following all the positive comments has continued providing a tree ever since.

In addition, in 2008 it was decided to celebrate the beginning of the festive season by extending the event to children and now begins with the official switching-on ceremony of the Christmas tree lights, followed by a selection of carols and music from the young people of Kesgrave drawn from those who attend the local schools and organisations.

The event usually takes place on the last Friday in November from 6.00pm until approximately 7.00pm on Rupert Fison Square outside the Scout Hall. Light refreshments are usually available before and after the event. There is no restriction on who may attend and we hope many of you will be able to join this Children’s Christmas Evening community celebration.
